Cast of Jar Decorated with Palm Trees

This is a plaster cast (or reproduction) of a jar in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. The original jar is made of a type of stone known as chlorite. It is decorated with three rows of a repeating date palm tree pattern, separated by bands of a pattern that may represent hills or mountains.
